Message from the Principal

Viking Nation,

Here we are the last week before the Thanksgiving Break! Navarro will finish the week off strong before everyone enjoys a much needed break. I hope everyone finds time to relax and recharge before the close of the fall semester. It is much deserved.

I wanted to thank the No Place for Hate Coalition for coordinating our Day of Service this month. Many staff members commented on how great it was to see students give back to their school. We plan to continue this tradition and are already looking at some new service opportunities for the spring semester.

Please plan to join us on Wednesday the 20th for our annual Thanksgiving Community Dinner! The Family Resource Center and Navarro staff have combined forces on this collaboration and we believe it will be the best Community Dinner yet. We will start the festivities at 5:30.

On the academic side of Navarro I wanted to share the positive feedback we received from our classroom visits from the High School Office. They were very excited to see the engagement and ownership of learning our students displayed. The positive climate and culture evident at our school was also noted. Thank you teachers for all you do to create engaging and rigorous learning opportunities for our student body every day! I am proud to work with such a tremendous group of educators.

After our week off we have some important testing dates coming up for our students. We will have EOC retests the week of December 9th and Final Exams the week of December 16th. I know our students are ready to shine on these assessments. Wish our testers good luck on these end of semester exams.

Thank you Vikings for all the hard work you do every day to support our students! Have a great week.

Navarro ECHS

Early College High School

Navarro High School is pleased to offer an Early College High School (ECHS) plan to students. In collaboration with Austin Community College, students are able to access classes at both levels. Students who are enrolled in the ECHS program will receive a high school dimploma and their associates degree from ACC at graduation. This program is offered to all who are interested and is completely free. In order to enroll, students must pass their Texas Success Initiative Assessment (TSI).
