Message from the Principal

Viking School Community,

Navarro was excited to welcome back more students to campus this past week! We continue to hold student and staff safety at the forefront of all processes and procedures. We are so proud of our entire school community for their commitment to keeping Navarro as safe as possible. Please remember to text us on our Let’s Talk number at 512-856-1543 to let us know if you would like your student to begin attending classes on campus. We are also available at this number to assist with any other questions or concerns.

Over the course of the first two months of school we have all learned the challenges that come with remote learning for many of our students. We want to encourage all students to stay engaged with their teachers and keep their spirits up despite any early challenges. Navarro has instituted some new programming after school to assist students with improving upon grades from earlier grading periods. For specific information regarding this program to support students, please have your student discuss with their English, Math, Science, and Social Studies teachers.

Navarro will have two events this month for our parents and families. We will have another Coffee with the Principal event on November 17th at 10:00 am. We will spend some time answering questions, followed by a learning opportunity for our parents. We will also be having a Thanksgiving Drive-Thru celebration on November 18th and are hoping to see a lot of our families, from a distance of course! For more information on this event, please head to the calendar page on our website.

As we head into the last couple of weeks before the Thanksgiving break we would like to thank everyone in our school community for coming together to make the best of a difficult time for all of us. The commitment to Navarro shown by so many is inspiring. Make sure to find some time to celebrate and recharge over the holiday season. Thank you Vikings!

Early College High School

Navarro High School is pleased to offer an Early College High School (ECHS) plan to students. In collaboration with Austin Community College, students are able to access classes at both levels. Students who are enrolled in the ECHS program will receive a high school dimploma and their associates degree (60 hours of college credit) from ACC at graduation. This program is offered to all who are interested and is completely free. In order to enroll, students must pass their Texas Success Initiative Assessment (TSI).
