Message from the Principal

Viking Nation,

The fall semester is over halfway complete and there is so much to celebrate here at Navarro ECHS! I wanted to take a moment to thank our students, staff, and community partners for all the hard work that went into our Viking Fest. It was amazing to see so many of our programs, feeder schools, and community supporters all come together to show that school pride. I know many of our future Vikings felt the positive energy and excitement that is so evident within our school community.

After spending time in classrooms over the last several weeks I continue to see evidence of strong teaching and learning in our school. Spending time in classrooms is always the highlight of my day and I always leave amazed at the things I see in each and every classroom. The educators at Navarro strive to be the best and I firmly believe we have the best group of teachers in all of AISD!

There are many celebrations coming up including our Community Dinner on November 20th and our staff holiday luncheon during final exam week. As we make that final push towards the holiday season let’s make sure we continue to focus in on making every minute of instruction meaningful. All the hard work does not go unnoticed! Thank you Viking Nation keep up the good work.

Sincerely,

Steve Covin
Principal

Early College High School

Navarro High School is pleased to offer an Early College High School (ECHS) plan to students. In collaboration with Austin Community College, students are able to access classes at both levels. Students who are enrolled in the ECHS program will receive a high school dimploma and their associates degree from ACC at graduation. This program is offered to all who are interested and is completely free. In order to enroll, students must pass their Texas Success Initiative Assessment (TSI).
