Campus Advisory Council (CAC)

The Campus Advisory Council (CAC) at Navarro Early College High School is a collaborative body of school staff, parents, community members, and students (when applicable). The council provides input on school programs, policies, and initiatives, and makes recommendations to support the campus mission, vision, and continuous improvement.

The CAC helps:

  • Guide campus goals and programs

  • Review school performance data and academic initiatives

  • Promote equitable access to educational opportunities

  • Advise on the campus improvement plan and budget priorities

Meetings are open and scheduled throughout the school year. CAC members ensure diverse perspectives are represented, keeping the best interests of students and the school community at the forefront.

Council Membership & Roles

The Campus Advisory Council (CAC) is composed of representatives from a variety of stakeholder groups. Within the council, officer roles help organize and guide its work. Co-chairs lead meetings, set agendas, and ensure alignment with campus goals. The secretary records meeting minutes and maintains documentation, while all members actively participate in discussions and vote on recommendations.

Meetings of the Campus Advisory Council are typically held once a month on Tuesdays during the school year. Each meeting provides an opportunity for members to review school initiatives, discuss campus priorities, and provide feedback on programs and policies.

Agendas and supporting materials are shared in advance, and while voting is limited to council members, all meetings are open to families and community members who wish to observe or provide input.
