De to Covid-19 Austin ISD will be honoring this year’s class of 2020 graduating class with a stadium graduation walk that will recognize the strength and endurance of this year’s class, while remaining as safe and healthy as possible. Following social distancing guidelines, graduates will have the opportunity to walk across the stage in their cap and gown and celebrate with loved ones. These graduation walks will take the place of the August graduation ceremonies originally scheduled for August 10-13. Your student is a candidate for the Thursday, June 25, 2020 stadium graduation walk. In order to graduate, they must successfully complete all the necessary graduation requirements, these requirements include passing required EOC’s, and passing all required courses.

The Navarro ECHS graduation walk will be held at the Austin ISD House Park Field on Thursday, June 25, 2020 at 8am. Your student will be given a designated arrival time based on their last name, and it is essential that they arrive at the time they are assigned and no earlier (a schedule will be sent out a later time). Your student is allotted 4 guests to attend the graduation walk along with them. Included are expectations that each family will encounter upon arrival and during the ceremony:

• A Covid-19 Screening upon arrival for each family member including the following questions-see handout
• Each family must have a face mask for all members over 6 yrs of age
• No personal items such as purses, bags, food/drinks, can be brought into the stadium
• Family members and student must be prepared to walk twice the length of a football field and on unpaved areas-sensible shoes are strongly recommended (the stadium is wheelchair accessible, but please notify the school if access is needed)
• Graduates should come dressed in their cap and gown
• Social distancing will be marked and enforced at all times
• Upon exit, families must exit the stadium and parking lot promptly to avoid congregating and to allow for the next round of families
