Counting Down to the Solar Eclipse

Join Our Campus Architectural Team
As part of the 2022 Bond, Navarro Early College High School will receive a Phase 1 (of 3-4) modernization. The project design is anticipated to begin in spring 2024 and open to students in fall 2027.
Austin ISD to Operate on a Two-Hour Delay on January 17th
Due to ongoing freezing temperatures, all Austin ISD classes will be on a two hour delay Wednesday, Jan. 17. All district offices will also be on a two hour delay.

Austin ISD to Monitor Incoming Cold Weather
Winter weather is in the forecast next week and we’re monitoring how it may affect Austin ISD schools and offices. Why it matters: Cold and icy conditions could cause us to delay or cancel district schools, as well as affect electricity and other utilities.
After School Activities Continue as Scheduled
The National Weather Service is predicting inclement weather and heavy rain throughout the day, Thursday, Oct. 26. Please be advised that our campuses have protocols in place to keep students and staff safe for weather events—see “Shelter” protocols.
Temporary Relocation of the Main Office
In preparation for the new school year, our custodial team is currently in the process of cleaning and waxing the floor in the main office. Due to this minor disturbance, the main office staff has been temporarily moved to the library for the week of July 10th.
Upcoming Summer Closure
Viking Nation, As a friendly reminder, all district facilities will be closed from Monday, July 3rd to Friday, July 7th. This means that the main office will also be closed, therefore putting a halt on diploma pickups and VOE inquiries.
New Telephone System
Viking Families, As of Wednesday, June 7th, our new telephone system will be in effect. When you contact the front office you will be greeted by our automated attendant, who will then offer you a list of departments to be transferred to.
Summer Hours of Operation
Starting May 29, 2023 to July 28, 2023, Austin ISD will operate on a summer efficiency schedule. Our main office will be from 8am to 4pm, Monday through Thursday. We will be closed on Fridays. On July 31, 2023, Austin ISD will resume its regular business hours.
