Student Information
The following information pertains to graduates’ expected attire, including caps, gowns, and regalia, as well as arrival procedures, expected conduct during the ceremony, and instructions for receiving your diploma and submitting a final transcript request.
Graduation attire consists of the official graduation gown, cap, tassel, and any campus-approved regalia awarded by the school. Graduation regalia, including caps and gowns, may be purchased through the school’s official vendor at: https://txgrad.com/juan-p-navarro-high-school/. Heritage stoles may be worn with prior approval. Seniors requesting approval must submit a photo of the proposed heritage stole to campus administration in advance.
Decorated caps and non-approved items—including flowers, leis, money necklaces, Mardi Gras beads, flags, chains, LED or flashing lights, and similar accessories—are not permitted. Tassels must be worn on the right side of the cap and will be moved to the left when directed by the Principal at the conclusion of the ceremony.
Seniors are encouraged to wear business-casual clothing underneath their gowns, preferably with pockets for keys and cell phones. Backpacks, bags, purses, or other personal items should not be brought to the venue, as there will be no secure storage available. Graduates should wear comfortable, appropriate footwear (no tennis shoes or flip-flops), as they will walk up a ramp, across the stage, down stairs, to the photo area, and back to their seats.
Graduates are expected to conduct themselves respectfully upon arrival, throughout the ceremony, and following the conclusion of the event. Seniors must remain seated and in attendance for the entire graduation ceremony and are required to stay with the Class of 2026 until the ceremony officially ends. Early departure is not permitted.
Seniors must report to the graduation venue one hour prior to the start of the ceremony. Upon arrival, graduates must check in with campus staff and line up in alphabetical order as directed by posted signage. Once checked in and marked present, Seniors will receive their Class of 2026 medallion.
Graduates who do not check in at the designated Senior area will be assumed absent, and their name will not be announced during the ceremony.
Seniors will receive a diploma cover at graduation; the actual diploma can be picked up from the main office beginning Monday, June 15. Final transcripts will be available in mid-July. After graduation, students will no longer have access to Naviance, but any college applications submitted through Naviance that require a final transcript will still be sent at no cost.
Each graduating senior is entitled to one free final transcript, which can be requested via this Google Form: https://forms.gle/LUiVDDHXBXzjQTNj9. Additional copies are available for a $5 fee and can be requested here: https://forms.gle/jXhoSmd4ZHc5k97d7.
Seniors should provide a personal email address when submitting their final transcript request to ensure reliable communication. For questions regarding diplomas or final transcripts, please contact Mr. Hernandez, Registrar for Graduation Services & Academic Records.
