Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Welcome to the Office of the Registrar’s Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page. We know our processes can sometimes be confusing, so we’re here to help. Our most commonly asked questions are organized into tabs for easy access.

To view an answer, select a question from the dropdown, and the response will appear below.

The menus below are expandable. Select a dropdown to view its contents; only one menu can be open at a time.

Transcript requests for former students must be submitted through the online Transcript Request Form, available in the Transcript section of our website. Please note that the Office of the Registrar does not accept requests via email, fax, or phone.

The fee for official transcripts is $5 per copy. The total amount due will be determined by the number of copies requested. Payment is required at the time of the request, and transcripts will be processed and sent once payment is received. Payments can be made online via MySchoolCentral or in cash when picking up the transcript from Navarro.

As a parent, it is important that we have the most current information on your student’s contact card in case of an emergency. To update your student’s information, please follow the guidelines below:

    • Current Lease Agreement, or
    • Recent (within 45 days) Utility Bill, or
    • Recent (within 45 days) Mortgage Statement, or
    • Recent Property Tax Receipt
  • Phone Number & Email Changes: If your phone number or email has changed, you can update it in the AISD Parent Portal or submit the changes to the Office of the Registrar. No additional documentation is required for phone number or email updates.

Registration and enrollment procedures are available on the Enrollment page of our website. For additional assistance with Enroll Austin, visit https://www.austinisd.org/enroll.

Representatives of third-party agencies or organizations requesting verification of a former student’s enrollment or graduation should submit their request to Sandra Chavera, Registrar for Enrollment Services & Student Records, via email at sandra.chavera@austinisd.org or by fax at (512) 414-6424.

Questions about the graduation ceremony can be directed to Mr. Hernandez, Registrar for Graduation Services & Academic Records, or Ms. Trevino, Project Specialist. For more information, please visit the Graduation page on our website.

After completing online registration, you must visit Navarro during registration support hours, Monday–Thursday from 8:30 am to 10:30 am. Be sure to bring all required documents with you, even if you uploaded them to Enroll Austin. Please note that the Office of the Registrar does not contact parents to notify them when to come in to finalize enrollment.
