Upcoming Summer Closure

Viking Nation, As a friendly reminder, all district facilities will be closed from Monday, July 3rd to Friday, July 7th. This means that the main office will also be closed, therefore putting a halt on diploma pickups and VOE inquiries.

New Telephone System

Viking Families, As of Wednesday, June 7th, our new telephone system will be in effect. When you contact the front office you will be greeted by our automated attendant, who will then offer you a list of departments to be transferred to.

Diploma Pick-Up Information

Class of 2023 students may begin retrieving their diplomas on Tuesday, June 6th. Diploma pick-up will only occur between Monday - Thursday, from 9am - 1pm.

Summer Hours of Operation

Starting May 29, 2023 to July 28, 2023, Austin ISD will operate on a summer efficiency schedule. Our main office will be from 8am to 4pm, Monday through Thursday. We will be closed on Fridays. On July 31, 2023, Austin ISD will resume its regular business hours.

Safe and Supportive Schools Program Survey

In 2019, Austin ISD was awarded the Bureau of Justice Assistance, STOP (School, Teachers, Officers, Preventing School Violence) Grant.

BBQ Team Qualifies for Nationals

The BBQ Team traveled to Burnet, Texas this weekend to compete in the Texas High School BBQ Competition. There were many ups and downs including rain, hail, sheltering in place, but when the ash settled, and the fires were out the team was awarded 4th place out of 58 teams.

Austin ISD Earth Week

Between March 30 and April 10, Austin ISD will honor Cesar Chavez and Dolores Huerta, two of the most significant leaders in the American farmworker’s movement through lessons and participation in community events.
